Rutumi Manor

Rutumi Manor in the region of Itä-Uusimaa, in the municipality of Lapinjärvi has lived a multi-phased history ever since the 1700´s. In the latest phase the manor has been totally renovated and the doors were opened in the autumn 2000 for the guests.

You can feel the history when walking through the halls and rooms. Sometimes you can sense the presence of the lady of the house from the year 1850, Mrs. Laura Wallgren, when your hostess is telling about the life in the manor or e.g. the garden plans.
In the summertime you will be acquainted with the beautiful surroundings by driving through the nature with horse and carriage. In the winter you can use oldtime skis, kick sleds or sleighs.
As a conference guest you will be guided upstairs to Karl Fredrik Gylling-hall. Old fashioned though, it is equipped with modern meeting facilities.

Some other time the phantom of the manor, old cavalry colonel Karl von Hirn tells about his military expeditions in the Sword Hall.

In Rutumi Manor the guests can have all kinds of experiences, a moment of history or fascinating nature as well in summer as in winter.
